The Department of Foreign Affairs is providing consular assistance to the family of a Kerry woman who passed away in Australia.
29-year-old Serena Downey, who was from Listowel, died unexpectedly in Perth this week.
She had been living in Western Australia for over five years.
A spokesperson for the department says it has been made aware of the case, however, it does not comment on the details of individual cases.
Meanwhile, a GoFundMe campaign set up to repatriate Serena Downey has raised over €75,000 ($134,000).
The fundraiser is aiming to raise 160,000 Australian dollars - or almost €90,000 - to assist with the associated costs of bringing her home.
