A delegation of over 60 people from the West Springfield Sister City Association in Massachusetts is visiting Kerry this week.
West Springfield is a sister city of Corca Dhuibhne and the Dingle peninsula since 2017.
There is a long standing connection between Kerry, particularly the Dingle peninsula and the Blasket Islands, and the Greater Springfield area after many emigrants made Western Massachusetts their home.
Dingle Peninsula Tourism and Udarás na Gaeltachta are hosting the group.
The visitors include members of the West Springfield police, fire, and educational departments, as well as representatives of West Springfield City Hall, the Irish Cultural Centre of Western New England, and the Eastern States Exposition which hosts the Big E.
A plaque, designed by the Dingle jeweller Brian de Staic, celebrating the bond was unveiled at the boat yard in Dingle on Friday.
The West Springfield Sister City delegation will participate in St Patrick's Day parades tomorrow in Dingle, Ballyferriter and Castlegregory.
