Tributes have been paid to pioneering community leader Bill Morrell who advocated for ordinary people in Kerry to have a greater say in council and public policy decisions.
The death’s been announced of Mr Morrell who was chairperson of the Kerry Public Participation Network – the PPN – and was chair of the planning team for the Kerry Community Awards.
Bill Morrell who was originally from the UK lived in Brosna.
Cllr Charlie Farrelly said Mr Morrell was a great community man who always had the best interests of Kerry and its people at heart.
Bill Morrell’s requiem mass will take place in Knocknagoshel on Tuesday.
