152 men in Kerry are diagnosed with prostate cancer each year.
That’s according data from the National Cancer Registry of Ireland, which shows more than half of men who undergo treatment will experience urinary incontinence (UI).
A new initiative has been launched to break the stigma around male UI and improve access to hygiene facilities in men’s public toilets nationwide.
The “dispose with dignity” campaign is from hygiene services company PHS Group, supported by the Irish Cancer Society and the Irish Men’s Sheds Association.
