Crimes like alleged murder-suicide in Fermanagh lead to increase in calls to Adapt Kerry Women's Refuge

Crimes such as the alleged murder-suicide in Fermanagh last week always lead an increase in calls.

That's according the refuge coordinator with Adapt Kerry Women's Refuge, Emma O'Mahony.

Vanessa Whyte and her children Sara and James died after a gun attack at the family home in Maguiresbridge.

Her husband and the children's father, Ian Rutledge, who is thought to have carried out the shooting, died in hospital on Monday from self-inflicted gunshot wounds.
