Councillors to write to TII to examine road safety improvements on N23 at Kerry Airport

Councillors will write to the TII to examine markings and warning signs on the road outside Kerry Airport.

It follows a motion from independent councillor Charlie Farrelly at the recent Castleisland-Corca Dhuibhne Municipal District meeting.

He says a joint effort is needed between the council and the airport to bring the issues on this road to Transport Infrastructure Ireland’s attention.

Cllr Farrelly believes there’s almost an accident a week on this part of the N23; and a continuous broken white line is needed on the Farranfore side.

The motion was seconded by Fine Gael councillor, Tommy Griffin.
