Councillors in Listowel will write to the HSE for clarity on their long-term plans for a property under its ownership in the town.
It follows motions from Sinn Féin councillor Tom Barry at the recent Municipal District meeting.
He says the premises on Charles Street has been unused for several years and has become overgrown on occasion, which impacts locals.
Cllr Barry says the HSE’s plans for the building must be ascertained; adding the health service must outline its plans for any of its other unused properties within the Listowel MD.
The motion was seconded by Fianna Fáil councillor Jimmy Moloney, who said the premises can not be left in its current state.
