Councillors in the Castleisland MD are calling for an immediate meeting with Irish Rail.
It follows a motion from Cllr Jackie Healy-Rae at the recent Municipal District meeting.
He says Irish Rail came to the councillors with big plans for the car park at Farranfore train station years ago, but this never came to fruition.
Cllr Healy-Rae claimed the company has been running from elected members since and an explanation is needed.
The motion was seconded by Cllr Charlie Farrelly who says the lack of a plan is gone beyond a joke and a meeting is needed ASAP.
In response, the council noted Iarnród Eireann have indicated they are willing to meet with councillors, which will be arranged in due course.
