Councillor seeks clarity from local authority to delays in Kilderry Amenity Walk upgrades

A Corca Dhuibhne councillor has asked Kerry County Council to clarify delays to works at a Milltown wood.

At the recent municipal district meeting, Fine Gael councillor Tommy Griffin described the deferred commencement to upgrades at Kilderry Loop Amenity Walk, as extremely disappointing.

He said almost €450,000 in funding was granted for the project in June last year, with works due to get underway in December.

However, Cllr Griffin says this date was pushed back further and is now unlikely to start until the end of the year; which he described as frustrating for all in the area.

In response the council advised the project is currently being assessed, with a view to having works completed by way of contract.
