A Castleisland councillor says action needs to be taken on a road which regularly experiences truck derailments.
Cllr Charlie Farrelly tabled a motion at the recent local MD meeting urging for increased signage to be erected along the L2032 road.
The independent councillor stated the route is not suitable for HGVs and outlined numerous lorries jackknifed there recently.
He asked the local authority to replace the existing small sign with increased signage in multiple languages, similar to the Conor Pass, advising truck drivers not to use the route.
Kerry County Council responded stating the signage will be reassessed to see if there is a suitable alternative.
