Councillor says dips on West Kerry road is so bad that cars are bouncing to Dingle

The dips are so bad on a West Kerry road, that cars are bouncing all the way to Dingle.

That’s according to Sinn Féin councillor Robert Brosnan, who was speaking at the recent Castleisland-Corca Dhuibhne Municipal District meeting.

He requested that the local authority repair the dips and hollows on the Long Road, along the Slea Head drive.

The council responded advising the R-559 Cill Fhiontain road is due for surfacing works in 2027 - under the Multi-Annual Restoration Improvement Programme.

Kerry County Council noted the route will be monitored and repairs carried out where necessary in line with funding.
