An independent councillor has flagged “major concerns” to what he described as a “disgraceful stretch” of the N23 near Kerry Airport.
Cllr Charlie Farrelly tabled a motion urging immediate repairs to the road, at the recent Castleisland-Corca Dhuibhne MD meeting.
He says the section at Cliddaun is a disgrace and Gardaí previously spent evenings here directing traffic due to issues on the road.
Cllr Farrelly stated this 100-meter stretch needs to be repaired immediately; the motion was seconded by Cllr Jackie Healy-Rae.
In response, the council advised this section of the N23 will be raised again to TII to reiterate the need for resurfacing works.
