Councillors have appealed for more parts of West Kerry to be included in the winter maintenance service plan.
Cllr Breandán Fitzgearld tabled a motion urging the road from Brandon to Camp be included in the maintenance plan, at the recent Castleisland-Corca Dhuibhne MD meeting.
The Fianna Fáil councillor says this takes in areas including Cloghane, Aughacashla and Castlegregory, which he believes should be added to the priority salting routes.
The motion was seconded by Sinn Féin councillor Robert Brosnan.
The council responded advising the addition of the road is currently not feasible due to resourcing and budget considerations, but the route will be noted for future updates.
