Kerry County Council says steps are being taken to develop a traffic management and parking plan for Dingle.
The information was provided in response to a question from Fianna Fáil councillor Breandán Fitzgerald at the recent Castleisland-Corca Dhuibhne MD meeting.
He sought an update from the local authority on the plan following a petition from residents’ for designated parking.
The council replied that parking and traffic management were identified as key challenges during the recent town centre health check.
It says it’s currently seeking to engage a consultant to develop a plan and the residents’ submission will be taken into consideration for this.
