Construction on a long-awaited bus stop in Ballybunion is set to begin in May.
The update was provided at the recent Listowel Municipal District meeting, following questions from Fine Gael councillors Michael Foley and Aoife Kennelly.
Kerry County Council said it will begin the necessary statutory process for the bus stop and shelter later this month, which will involve publishing the design.
It’s proposed the bus stop will be located near the old bottle banks in the town, on what's known locally as the Link Road.
The council says construction is due to begin on the bus stop and shelter in May, subject to approval.
