The community of Kenmare is extremely worried about Mike Gaine who has been missing since last Thursday morning.
The 56-year-old was reported missing on Friday and extensive searches have been taking place since.
Several slurry tanks have been emptied and searches of farm buildings on his farm in Carrig East have taken place.
The Garda sub-aqua unit arrived in Kenmare this morning as searches continue today.
Kenmare-based councillor Teddy O'Sullivan Casey says Mike Gaine and his family are very well respected in the area, which he says was reflected in the large numbers that helped search for him.
