Ballydonoghue GAA club has said it's liaising with the family of Jack Kennelly following a serious injury sustained in a county league match yesterday.
Jack Kennelly, an All-Ireland winning minor in 2018, sustained a suspected broken jaw in an alleged off the ball incident.
Yesterday's Division 3 encounter between Ballydonoghue and Castlegregory was abandoned after 18 minutes following the incident which occurred 5 minutes into the match.
Mr Kennelly was taken to hospital by ambulance with a suspected broken jaw.
According to a statement by a Ballydonoghue GAA spokesperson they are liaising with Jack Kennelly's family and wished to thank club physio as well as two nurses from the crowd who attended to him while waiting for the ambulance.
They said they will await the submission of the referee's report on the game to the county board and have no further comment at this time.
The Kerry County Board is awaiting the referee's report to the Central Competitions Committee before investigating the matter further.
