Charity warns clothes banks could be removed over illegal dumping

If people don't stop leaving bags of donations outside clothes banks and charity shops, clothes bins will have to be removed for good.

Manager of St Vincent De Paul's (SVP) order fulfilment center in Tralee, Junior Locke, says the dumping of bags of clothes is a huge problem.

He says people with good intentions don't realise that bags of donations left outside charity shops or clothes banks must be dumped.

People who leave bags outdoors like this may not realise that they are liable to be prosecuted for littering.

Mr Locke says SVP can accept big donation bags at its charity shops during opening hours and at its fulfillment centre:
