Killarney Chamber of Tourism and Commerce says it fully supports Kerry Airport’s call for greater clarity and engagement for the Kerry-Dublin flight.

Killarney Chamber says the success of the Kerry-Dublin flight is imperative for tourism, business and community life to prosper.

The chamber says while the interest of Ryanair in operating the route on a commercial basis is welcome, it is disconcerting and difficult to comprehend why no formal discussions with the airport have taken place.

President of the chamber, Niall Kelleher says full and immediate discussions are needed between the Department of Transport, Kerry Airport and any third party interested in tendering for a PSO-supported service.
