That's according to Pat O'Driscoll, chair of the Kerry branch of the Irish Farmers Association.

Dara Calleary is the second Minister for Agriculture to resign in just five weeks.

Pat O'Driscoll lists maintaining food production through COVID-19, Brexit, and the Common Agricultural Policy as pressing issues that need to be dealt with.

Mr O'Driscoll says the farming community needs a stable minister to face the onerous tasks ahead.
