Kerry Recreation & Sports Partnership (KRSP) will be chaired by a woman for the first time ever.
Incoming chair, Catherine Carty is already the UNESCO Chair on Transforming the Lives of Persons with Disabilities in Education, Sport, Recreation, and Fitness at Munster Technological University (MTU).
In that role, she has become a global leader in inclusive sport and human rights, working to ensure sport, recreation, and education are inclusive and rights-based.
She was instrumental in bringing 700 delegates from five continents to ISAPA 2025 (International Symposium on Adapted Physical Activity) in MTU Kerry this June.
Kerry Recreation & Sports Partnership (KRSP) supports people across Kerry take part in sports and physical activities, especially those hindered by geography, socio-economic status, or disability.
Past chairs include Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh, Minister Jimmy Deenihan, and, most recently, Kerry ETB chief executive, Colm McEvoy.
