There are calls for a full-time Garda to be assigned to a West Kerry beach during busy periods.
Fine Gael Cllr Seamus Cosaí Fitzgerald is seeking a Garda to be assigned to Castlegregory beach during the summer months and on busy Bank holiday weekends.
He is asking the council to write to the Garda Superintendent to make the request.

Cllr Fitzgerald raised the issue at the Castleisland Corca Dhuibhne Municipal District meeting.
