Tralee needs to put structures in place to regulate busking in the town, according to local councillor, Mikey Sheehy.
The Fianna Fáil councillor says business people, tourists and residents of the town centre have all approached him, raising various issues to do with buskers.
These include noise levels, repetition of acts, and the same performers taking up key spots all day.
He's called for byelaws to be considered, along the lines of those enforced in Killarney, Galway and Dublin, where backing tracks and amplificiation are banned in certain areas.
