Kerry County Council must maximise all funding available for St John's Theatre and Arts Centre and Listowel Writers' Week.
That's according to Fine Gael councillor Aoife Thornton who told the Listowel Municipal District meeting that both provide so much to the region and must be supported.
The council said it will ensure support is maintained as both are two key assets helping to foster creativity and define Kerry as a centre for arts and culture.
