Call for public lighting from Kilcummin village to Rathanane Graveyard

A Killarney councillor has called for public lighting to be installed on the road from Kilcummin village to the graveyard at Rathanane.

Councillor Marie Moloney told a recent meeting of Killarney Municipal District that several people, including church representatives, had been in contact with her in relation to the issue.

Council officials said public lighting on the Kilcummin road will be considered once a footpath is provided in the area which is the current priority.
