An urgent appeal has been made for blood donors to come forward in Ballybunion this Thursday.
As of this morning, the Irish Blood Transfusion Service is holding less than two day's supply of both O negative and B negative blood.
They normally aim to have seven day's supply of all blood types in stock at all times, but blood stocks have been reduced over the Easter weekend.
The IBTS is calling on the people of Ballybunion and the wider Kerry community to attend this Thursday’s donation clinic, which takes place at Ballybunion Community centre tomorrow Thursday from 4.50pm to 8.10pm.
New and returning donors are welcome; phone 1800 222 111 for appointment.
