Blood donors are being asked to attend clinics in Kerry over the coming days to help build blood supplies ahead of St Patrick’s Day.
The Irish Blood Transfusion Service says as hospitals prepare for the busy St Patrick’s Day period, the need to build blood stocks in advance is especially important.
There’s been a spike in demand for blood this year.
Existing and first-time donors are being asked to attend a clinic in Castleisland Community Centre today, which is running until 8.10pm; the clinic will run in Castleisland again tomorrow from 4.50pm to 8.10pm; to make an appointment call 1800 222 111.
A clinic will also take place in Ballybunion Community Centre, next Monday (March 16th) from 3.50pm to 7.10pm.
