The average market rent in Kerry has jumped by over 8% in the space of twelve months.
That’s according to the Daft.ie Rental Price Report for the first quarter of 2026.
The figures show the increase in Kerry is almost double the national average of 4.4%.
According to the report the average rent for a two-bed apartment in Kerry soared by over 18% in the year.
The average listed monthly rent for such units in the county was €1,542 in the first quarter of 2026.
The typical rent for a one-bed apartment increased by almost 5% in the year, to more than €1,050 (€1,056).
There was an 11.3% jump in the monthly rent of a two-bed house in the county, at €1,403.
Rent for a three-bed house increased by more than 7%, to over €1,500 per month (€1,582).
A four-bed home in the county cost on average €1,857 per month in rent, an almost 3% rise.
The figures show there was a 7.5% increase in the average monthly rent of a standard double room in a shared house in Kerry, to €595.
An en-suite double room in a house was €617 per month between December and March.
Meanwhile, the average price of a single room in a shared home also rose by 4%, at €553 for a standard single, and €578 for a single en-suite.
