The average cost of buying a home in Kerry jumped by over 16% in the year to October.
That’s according to the CSO’s Residential Property Price Index, which shows there was a jump in the price of buying a home in all Eircode areas in the county.
It shows the average house price in Kerry at the end of October was €290,000, up from €249,000 on the same period last year.
Homes with a V31 eircode saw prices jump by almost a quarter (24.85%) in the period to just under €250,000 (€249,700).
Meanwhile, houses in the V93 area are the most expensive in the county, increasing by 12% in 12 months, to €325,000 (up from €290,000).
Homes in the V92 region rose by over 16% to €290,000 from €231,000; the median cost of dwellings in the V23 area was €281,500 – a 12.6% rise, up from €250,000.
The report shows the average cost of homes within the P51 eircode - which includes Rathmore, Gneeveguilla and Ballydesmond - increased by 4% in the year, from €250,000 to €260,000.
Over the county bounds, the price of homes with a V94 eircode – which includes Abbeyfeale, Mountcollins and Foynes – rose by over almost 18% to €350,000.
