The cost of buying a home in Kerry increased by almost 13% in the year to March.
That’s according to the CSO’s Residential Property Price Index for the third month of the year.
It shows the average price of purchasing a home in the county was €296,000, up from over €262,000 (€262,500) in March last year.
Prices soared across all eircodes in the county, jumps of above 15% the V92 (to €282,500) and V23 (€281,500) areas, and an almost 17% rise in the V31 area (to €260,000).
Homes in the V93 – Killarney area, are the most expensive in the county, at €340,000 - up over 15% in the year to March.
For web: Meanwhile, houses with a P51 eircode cost on average €270,000 at the end of March, an almost 6% increase; while residential properties in the V94 area (which includes Abbeyfeale, Athea and Glin) jumped by over 9%.
