Asking prices of houses in Kerry listed on the property website Daft.ie has increased significantly in the last 12 months.
The latest Daft.ie House Price Report shows large increases across all property types in Kerry over the last year.
The most common asking price for a new-build home in Kerry was almost €600,000 over the second half of 2024.
The report shows the average price for a house in Kerry listed on Daft.ie in the first quarter of the year was just under €294,000.
This is an increase of almost 12% in the space of 12 months, and almost 4% on the previous quarter.
It’s also an increase of almost 47% on pre-covid prices.
The price of one-bed apartments listed in Kerry during the first quarter of this year was €128,000, which is a rise of 31% since the first quarter of 2024.
There was an almost 13% increase in the asking prices for two-bed terraced houses, which are now over €140,000.
Three-bed semi-detached homes increased in price by around 11% to €192,000, while there was a 20% increase on asking prices for four-bed bungalows, now sitting at around €389,000.
Asking prices for five-bed detached homes cost almost €400,000 in the first quarter of this year, a rise of almost 16% in the space of 12 months.
The median or most common price of a newly-built home in Kerry in the second half of 2024 was €590,000.
The report shows that across the country, supply of second-hand homes available to buy is now under 10,000 for the first time since the start of 2007.
