An argument is being made that legal costs be paid to two opposition TD’s who unsuccessfully took a High Court challenge over the attendance of super junior ministers at Cabinet meetings.
Kerry Sinn Féin TD Pa Daly and People Before Profit TD Paul Murphy brought separate challenges claiming the attendance of super junior ministers at Cabinet was unconstitutional.
Both challenges were dismissed by the High Court in December.
In court yesterday, Deputy Pa Daly says lawyers made the argument for costs stating the challenge was a matter of public interest and an issue which has been questioned for years.
The case was adjourned and the ruling is to be delivered at a future date, which has yet to be set.
