Kerry County Council (KCC) will open the 2026 CLÁR programme for applications on Wednesday, 15 April.
The online council portal, through which community groups can apply, will remain open until five o’clock in the evening of Friday, 15 May.
The CLÁR programme is a targeted, small infrastructure investments scheme for rural areas that are experiencing de-population, socio-economic disadvantage, and geographic remoteness.
This year, Ardfert, Arabela, Brewsterfield, Castleisland, and Scartaglin, were added to the list of eligible areas in Kerry.
Councillor Fionnán FitzGerald says he expects a big increase in applications and asked the council to organise an online information session explaining the process to new applicants.
