Animation Dingle approved as Academy Awards qualifying festival

Animation Dingle has been approved as an Academy Awards qualifying festival.

The recipient of Animation Dingle's Best Irish Professional Short Award will now be eligible for consideration in the Animation Short Film category of the Academy Awards.

This consideration comes without the standard theatrical run, provided the film otherwise complies with the Academy rules.

This year's winning Best Irish Professional Short 'Her Song' is now eligible for qualification for the prestigious awards.
