An Post has rolled out its foreign exchange cash buyback service to Post Offices in Kerry.
It’s responding to demand for currency buyback to the most popular tourist currencies.
Customers can now exchange unspent US, Canadian and Australian Dollars, UK Sterling and Polish Zloty for euro cash.
The service is available at 345 An Post stores nationally, including in Castleisland, Killarney, Killorglin, Listowel and Rock Street and Edward Street in Tralee.
The new FX Cash Buyback service is also commission-free and is not restricted to travel cash originally purchased through An Post.
Customers can take unspent Dollar, Sterling or Zloty notes along to any of the 345 participating post offices country-wide and have them instantly converted back to Euro, totally commission free. All that is required at the post office counter is proof of name (e.g. a Passport or EU Driving Licence).
Currency up to the value of €500 can be converted back to euro cash in a single transaction.
