An Post is reminding people in Kerry that the cut off dates for posting Christmas cards and parcels is fast approaching.
Those who wish to send standard letters and parcels to Australia, New Zealand and Asia are advised the deadline is Thursday December 4th.
This date is also the cut off for packages to the USA, while the last day to post cards to America is Wednesday the 10th of December.
The cut off date to Europe is Friday the 12th for parcels and (Thursday) 18th for cards; while the posting deadline for all pre-christmas parcels within Ireland and the UK is December 16th.
Monday the 22nd is the final deadline to post cards and letters within the republic.
Meanwhile, An Post says children’s letters to Santa should be posted by Wednesday December the 10th.
All they need to do is put their letter in an envelope, seal it and address it to Santa Claus, North Pole and stick a national N stamp on it. The child’s name and address should be clearly written in the top left corner of the envelope.
