An American man has pleaded guilty to dangerous driving causing serious harm in West Kerry.
66-year-old David Castle of 10 Lakewood Court, Whispering Pines, North Carolina, appeared before Judge Ronan Munro at Tralee Circuit Court for arraignment.
In April, David Castle was sent forward to Tralee Circuit Criminal Court to stand trial or on a signed plea, in connection with the incident.
He appeared before Judge Ronan Munro via video-link from his home in North Carolina, wearing a white shirt and black and yellow tie.
The 66-year-old, who is represented by barrister Seamus Roche, instructed by solicitor Brendan Ahern, spoke to confirm that he could see and hear the court.
Mr Castle faced one charged – that on May 22nd 2024 at Doonore North, Camp, he drove in a manner, which was dangerous to the public, whereby it caused bodily harm to other persons, namely Conor Cody, Beatrice Rezmuves and Deborah Castle.
The 66-year-old pleaded guilty to the charge.
Judge Munro remanded him on bail until October the 6th, to fix a date for sentencing.
The Judge advised given his co-operation, that Mr Castle’s attendance will be excused on that date, but if he wishes he can attended remotely.
