Almost €70,000 allocated to support ITT student mental health

€69,000 has been allocated to support students' mental health in the Institute of Technology Tralee.

It is part of a national package worth €5 million announced by Higher Education Minister, Simon Harris.

The money will be used to recruit student counsellors, assistant psychologists and implement new frameworks around mental health and suicide prevention.

Deputy Government Chief Whip and Kerry TD Brendan Griffin, says the significant funding for ITT comes at a time of great urgency around student support and re-opening planning.
