Almost €30,000 in funding has been announced to support six Kerry festivals.
The Small-Scale Local Festivals and Summer Schools Scheme is designed to assist local cultural events, with a maximum grant of €5,000.
The maximum amount has been awarded to Sneem Summer Festival, Lixnaw Comhaltas Festival, and the Listowel International Storytelling Festival.
The Cornelius Lyons Summer School in Teach Siamsa Finuge, and the Cur le Chéile festival in Caherdaniel and Castlecove, will also receive €5,000, while the Irish Spirit Summer School in Ballybunion will receive €4,800.
The funding has been welcomed by Kerry TDs, Minister of State Michael Healy-Rae, Minister Norma Foley, Michael Cahill, and Danny Healy-Rae.
