Almost 340 Gardaí are currently assigned to the Kerry Garda Division.
That’s according to figures released by the Minister for Justice Jim O’Callaghan.
There are 336 Gardaí assigned to the Kerry Garda Division according to these figures.
That’s up from last year, when there were 331 Gardaí assigned to the county.
It’s also up on the previous year; in 2023, there were 327 Gardaí in the Kerry Garda Division.
Nationally, there are currently over 11,300 Gardaí assigned to the various divisions, a rise from over 11,200 in 2024.
The Dublin Metropolitan Region North has the highest number of Gardaí this year at 705, while the Sligo Leitrim Division had the fewest at 277.
The figures were provided by Minister for Justice Jim O’Callaghan, following a query from Fianna Fáil TD Séamus McGrath.
Minister O’Callaghan says it’s important to note that around 360 Gardaí are currently in training and 269 have already passed out of Templemore this year, with two more attestations scheduled for this year.
