Almost 1,000 homes and businesses in Kerry without power

Almost 1,000 (997) homes and businesses are without power in Kerry.

The Dingle peninsula is the worst hit with 660 electricity customers affected.

ESB Networks estimates that the last of these faults will be repaired by midday.

21 are without power in Kenmare, but it’s predicted that these may not be reconnected until three o’clock this afternoon.

In Castleisland, 180 are without power, but ESB Networks expects this to be resolved before 15 minutes past noon.

Further north, electricity is out in Smearla and Ballybeggan, and these are also expected to be restored by 12:15pm.
