6.15 pm - Storm Dave update for Kerry

Around 1,000 homes and businesses are without power, down from some 3,000 customers who were affected at 5pm.

26 - Cillín Liath - power due to be restored by 6pm.

Crews are working to solve the issue and up-to-date estimated restoration times for both faults are available on the ESB Networks’ Powercheck website.

Kerry Airport is also affected.

The flight from Stansted due in at 3,55pm has been diverted to Dublin.

The 5.30 flight from Dublin to Kerry has been delayed.

This afternoon's departures to Stansted and Dublin have been delayed.

Passengers are advised to check with Ryanair for updates on any changes or disruptions to routes.

Kerry may experience stronger gusts over the next few hours and everyone is advised to take extra caution if travelling or out of doors.

Kerry County Council reports that a tree is down between Firies and Scart Cross, and that there are branches and debris on many routes.

Fallen trees in Ballyard, Lixnaw and Bedford have been cleared.
