More than 60 adults were in homeless accommodation in Kerry in September.
The figures cover from September 22nd to 28th and were published in the Department of Housing’s monthly homelessness report.
The report shows at the end of September, more than 16,600 people were accessing emergency accommodation nationally, a record high.
Figures from the Department of Housing show 16,614 people were homeless across Ireland at the end of September, including over 5,200 children.
In Kerry 68 people were in emergency accommodation at the end of the third quarter of 2025.
This represents 0.4% of all homeless adults nationally.
In the South-West region, which covers Kerry and Cork, there were there were 102 families accessing emergency accommodation at the end of September.
The report shows that 215 children were homeless in the region.
743 adults were accessing emergency accommodation in Kerry and Cork, 65% (482) of which were male, and 35% (261) were female.
Of the total number of people accessing emergency accommodation nationally, 50%, or just over 5,600 (5,687) individuals are Irish; 20.3% are British or EU nationals, while 29.7% are non-EU citizens.
