The Health Protection Surveillance Centre has been informed of 63 more deaths from COVID-19. 56 of these deaths took place this month, one in December, and five in November. The date of death for one of the deceased remains under investigation.
3,569 new cases of the virus have been announced this evening - 1,119 are in Dublin, 416 in Cork, 200 in Galway, 182 in Louth, 169 in Waterford, and 65 in Kerry.
The total number of cases in Kerry up to midnight, Monday, January 11th stands at 3,413.
2,460 people have died from the virus in Ireland since the pandemic started; there have been 159,144 confirmed cases.
