The Health Protection Surveillance Centre has been notified today of 1,236 PCR-confirmed cases of COVID-19.
In addition, 1,601 people registered a positive antigen test through the HSE portal yesterday.
As of 8am today, 477 patients with coronavirus were in hospital, 33 of these were in intensive care.
