Over 1,000 incidents of crime were recorded at Killarney Garda Station last year.
That’s according to figures released by the Central Statistics Office.
The report shows across twelve offence types, 1,088 incidents were logged by Killarney Gardaí in 2024.
Public order and social offences accounted for the highest proportion of incidents recorded, at 30% (320 incidents).
Attempts/threats to murder, assaults, harassments and related incidents accounted for 20% of all offences recorded (220).
Theft and related crimes was the third highest recorded by Killarney Garda Station last year, with 208 incidents, or 19%.
95 controlled drug offences were registered; while there were 69 incidents of offences against government, justice procedures and organisation of crime.
Both damage to property and the environment (68); and dangerous and negligent acts (66) accounted for over 6% of recorded crimes.
Killarney Gardaí dealt with 20 burglary and related offences; 11 incidents of weapons and explosive crimes; and 11 robbery, extortion and hijacking incidents.
According to the report figures for Fraud, deception and related offences have been revised due to the backlog in processing suspected fraud crime incidents reported to the Gardaí by Financial Institutions.
