The Health Protection Surveillance Centre has been informed of 28 more deaths from COVID-19. Twenty-six of these deaths occurred this month while the date of death for two fatalities remains under investigation.

3,955 new cases of the virus have been confirmed this evening  - 1,210 are in Dublin, 456 in Cork, 235 in Louth, 221 in Meath, 218 in Limerick, and 55 in Kerry.

As of 2pm today, there were 1,789 patients with COVID-19 in hospital, 169 of whom were in ICU.

There have been a total of 2,488 deaths from the virus in Ireland and 163,057 cases.
