27 Kerry schools have been included in the Bia Blasta lunch scheme.
Children’s Minister and Kerry Fianna Fáil TD, Norma Foley launched the initiative this morning.
The pre-school nutrition programme, under the Equal Start funding model, aims to provide daily lunches for children at risk of disadvantage.

The Bia Blasta scheme is supported by over €4 million in government funding, with over 25,000 children nationally to benefit.

The announcement and launch has been welcomed by Kerry Fine Gael Senator Mike Kennelly, and Fianna Fáil TD Michael Cahill.
