There are 23 patients waiting on trolleys in University Hospital Kerry today.
That’s according to figures provided by the Irish Nurses and Midwives’ Organisation.
15 people are on trolleys in UHK’s Emergency Department, while a further eight patients are waiting on trolleys in wards elsewhere within the hospital.
Nationally, 423 people are waiting for beds in hospitals across the country today.
Sligo University Hospital is the worst affected with 52 patients on trolleys.
