There are 22 patients waiting on trolleys in University Hospital Kerry today.
That’s according to figures provided by the Irish Nurses and Midwives’ Organisation.
17 people are on trolleys in UHK’s emergency department, while a further five patients are waiting on trolleys in wards elsewhere within the hospital.
Nationally, 361 people are waiting for beds in hospitals across the country.
University Hospital Limerick is the worst affected with 54 people waiting on trolleys.
